Canon PIXMA MP560 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Photo Printer

This replaced my last printer, the one I bought from a different company in February 2009. It is a night-and-day difference with my new Canon printer. (Sounds like an advertisement but it's not.) Everything about it is so much better. I have already printed more pages than with the other but I had to replace the ink 3 times on the old one (so that means I went through 4 cartridges)to print on less than a ream of paper. The replacement ink was close to $50 so I'm already saving money with my new printer. The wireless part of it works well. I don't know the technical jargon so bear with me. My printer is downstairs and my wireless router is upstairs. Everything communicates well with no glitches or interruptions. I am so happy that I made the decision to get a new printer so soon after getting the other. When I buy electronics I always look carefully at the description. I clearly saw a Bluetooth logo on the description. What I did not see was right under it it read (Optional). What does that mean to me? Ill tell you what I thought. I thought that I could use WiFi or Bluetooth, my option right? Let me tell you what Canon thinks. And this is after looking all over the box the manual on line everywhere to see how to turn on Bluetooth. I finally called Canon and asked where is my Bluetooth, after a runaround about why I do not need bluetooth when I could use my WiFi (I don't want to use my WiFi). I finely found out that I have to buy a USB dongle for an extra $50 to have Bluetooth! Then Why use the Bluetooth logo? When comparing prices I had no idea there was a hidden $50 I have to account for. I would have bought an Epson, that has it to start with. Clearly misleading statement and use of logo under Features. Then a little hint in the disclaimers #5 that is more confusing then informative. It reads like I need something for my phone and not the printer. I don't print from my phone, I don't know a single person that prints from a phone, so I disregarded it.

My third printer. My i9900 finally died. While I don't expect this printer to compare in the print quality, and honestly, i haven't printed pictures yet, the normal printing is just fine. The wireless setup was so easy!!! [my old printer was on an apple airport using bonjour and my dell 948 was such a pain to set up wirelessly.] This just worked. I connected it to 2 computers in minutes - no hick-ups!!

The scanning wirelessly works so well. Makes me really realize what a piece of cr@P the dell 948 was!!! I could NEVER get that thing to work. And, this scans fast.
